                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 900
                   BLOCK OF MOUNTAIN CREEK ROAD, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHWEST LINE OF MOUNTAIN CREEK ROAD AT
                   RUSSELL STREET FROM R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO
                   C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located in the 900 block of Mountain
              Creek Road, being on the northwest line of Mountain
              Creek Road at Russell Street.  Part of Lot 2, Taylor
              Subdivision on Mountain Creek Road, as shown by plat of
              record in plat book 44, page 395, R.O.H.C.  Said part of
              lot forms one tract beginning at the intersection of the
              northwest line of Russell Street with the northwest line
              of Mountain Creek Road, thence southwest 236.5 feet with
              Russell Street, thence northwest 30 feet, thence
              northeast 535.74 feet, thence southeast 300 feet to the
              northwest line of Mountain Creek Road, thence southwest
              453 feet along Mountain Creek Road to the point of
              beginning.
             
         from R-3 Residential zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial 
District.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
